IKWUMQ is built with a privacy-first mindset. This policy explains what we collect and how your files are handled.
1) Summary
• We aim to collect the minimum information necessary to operate the service.
• Uploaded files are intended to be processed for the selected tool and not sold or used for advertising profiling.
• Retention should be short and transparent.
Note: Update the retention periods below once you implement backend processing.
2) Information we may collect
Account information: If you add accounts later (not required for MVP), we may store your email and basic profile details.
Usage data: Basic analytics such as page views, device/browser type, and approximate location (city/region) may be collected by standard web logs or analytics tools.
Uploaded files: PDFs you upload for processing (merge, compress, split) are handled only to perform the requested operation.
3) How file processing works
When you upload a file to use a tool, the service processes it to produce an output file. We do not intentionally review your documents.
Retention (recommended for MVP):
• Uploaded files: delete automatically within 1 hour
• Output files: delete automatically within 1 hour
• Server logs: retain for up to 30 days for security and reliability
If you implement client-side processing (in-browser), files may not leave the user’s device. If you implement server-side processing, clearly state it here.
4) Cookies
We may use essential cookies for site functionality. If analytics are enabled, cookies may be used to understand usage patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work.
5) Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics) strictly to operate the website. Those providers should be bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
6) Security
We use reasonable security practices to protect data (e.g., HTTPS, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we aim to protect your information appropriately.
